How do i prepare for it?
To maximise the desired features of this facial treatment, the use of Alumier MD Skincare should be practiced for at least four to six weeks prior to treatment for lighter skin types, and eight weeks for darker tones. This program advises an appropriate cleanser and serums to provide the support and protection to your skin before undergoing this treatment.
What should I expect during my Glow peel ?
Step 1. Our Aesthetic Therapist will do a cleanse using Purifying Cleanser and then pat the skin dry.
Step 2. Balancing solution will be then applied to the skin, this sets the PH of the skin ready for the peel. This may tingle and your therapist will ask you how it feels.
Step 3. The eyes will be covered during the Glow peel application. The glow peel will be brushed onto the skin and then we wait a few minutes and ask you how it feels on a scale of 1-10. You will feel a tingly/ warm sensation this is completely normal. I will then apply another layer if I feel your skin can take it and wait another few minutes before I move onto the next step. This product is self-neutralizing so the warm/Tingly feeling will disappear after about five minutes.
Step 4. Brightening Accelerator will be applied to the skin, this has an additional Brightening, tightening and enhanced antioxidant infusion.
Step 5. This is where we customise the treatment for you by adding Retinol serum onto the skin, this will help skin cellular turnover.
Step 6. AlumierMD Eye cream will be applied around the orbital bone.
Step 7. Recovery balm mask is now applied to the skin to calm it down, hydrate and soothe the skin. I leave this on for Five minutes.
Step 8. Sheer Hydration Broad Spectrum Sunscreen SPF40 is applied all over the face to protect you from the sun.
What happens afterwards?
Until the skin is completely healed, you should follow the AlumierMD Post-Skin Resurfacing Program, which recommends the use of a calming Cleanser, recovery balm and SPF, ; while the skin is peeling.
