Welcome to your ZO Newsletter!
This edition of your newsletter takes a closer look at how the light from your digital devices are damaging your skin.
Always Glued To Your Mobile Or Laptop?
On average we spend about 10 hours a day looking at computers, smartphones or tablets! If you’re guilty of this you might want to know a bit more about the HEV light these devices emit and how it affects your skin.
What Is HEV Light?
HEV is an acronym for High-Energy Visible Light. It’s also known as blue light and could actually be as harmful to your skin as both UVA and UVB light combined! Just because HEV light doesn’t cause the immediate, visible damage that UV rays do, doesn’t mean it’s any less harmful. HEV light can cause:
- dryness
- sensitivity
- inflammation
- redness
- wrinkles + fine lines
- uneven pigmentation
- sagging skin
- brown spots
- blotchy skin
How Can We Block HEV Light?
When it comes to HEV light damage, prevention is key. We all known that wearing a sunscreen all year round is a must, so just make sure you pick one out which blocks HEV light too. Our top pick is the ZO® Oclipse® Sunscreen + Primer SPF30. It protects your skin from all harmful rays, UVA, UVB and HEV. Find out more here.
