Frustrated With Your Skin?

Still feel like your skin looks like it’s going through puberty? More than 80% of adult acne cases occur in women. It is thought that in many of these cases, a change in hormone levels is the trigger. So what can you do to help your skin? Have a look at some of our favourite superfoods and how they can improve your skin health.

Avcoados are a great skin superfood because they are a natural source of Vitamin E. Vitamin E boosts the skin’s vitality and luminosity. They also contain Vitamin C, which is great for reducing inflammation of the skin.Eating a regular portion of avocado, especially through these colder months, improves the skin’s ability to keep itself moisturised.

Broccoli is packed with antioxidants like vitamins A, B, C, E and K. These vitamins all help to increase luminosity in your skin as well as aiding in tissue revival. The omega 3 fatty acids, calcium and folate support the function of skin cells, helping cell turnover and stimulating new skin cells.

So strictly speaking this isn’t a food, but water is hugely important to your health. Make sure you drink the recommended 8 glasses of water daily to help your body flush out toxins. Not only will your skin look refreshed but keeping your fluid levels topped up will make you feel more alert too.
